ChaNinja Style RC5 by chaninja is yet another visual style masterpiece by this exceptional skinner. Following his traditional approach RC5 is just as simple as its predecessors while retaining an elegant beauty rarely found. (Selected by $jark) (
Man....I was getting depressed waiting for your shellstyles to pop up on ThemeXP....I thought to myself "A man of ChaNinjas talent must be posting somewhere else".....How right I was.....
Anyway, this theme is extremely cool (long overdue may I add P). The colour was a much needed update to an excellent style!
I dont wanna nag but just a few things I feel needed to be addressed after experiencing the perfetion that is the Sentinel shellstyle...
1. The log off / Turn off buttons on the start menu...The way you did these in Sentinel was amazing...I'd never seen anything like it. No stupid square highlight... forgive me for sounding naieve, but if you can do it with all your themes DO IT! its such a cool nuance
2. I was going to nag about borders on higlighed items, but Hey presto they are there alright....niiiice!!!!
Chaninja, i am adding this comment not for a real comment but for suggestions. In average i like the theme. But here is a list that i have come up with that will help it look better.. i'm not as good as u of course.. but some things that are really sticking out for me:
1. First of all i notice on some things, such as the flash menu, it really has to lag before it gets there. Maybe about 2 seconds before the screen shows. This may only pertain to me, but i'm sure my comp. is at a decent level or ram / etc.
2. this is for my purpose lol: can u please have a version where you can have things like where you get the option to change fonts on the appearance section.. i dont know if u knwo what im talking about but sz1_51 does it alot. or whatever his name is. I like it that way because it helps you not have to change everything. Like.. make a version of verdana and then arial or something. Thanks!
i really liked the theme. IT's very good. Excellent.. but i just have to say THESE ARE ALL OPINIATED. Maybe they apply to you, but i don't wanna seem cocky. if you don't fix this things, it won't really matter because it's your choice, but thanks for this awesome theme. OH yeah, i forgot one more thing... PLEASE can you reduce the file size. It's VERY huge for a package for a visual style. Maybe you can seperate some of the things?. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!
Its really quite rare to find a good skin; in fact, this is the first time I've actually switched, for good, to a skin other than the normal windows one (other than little hue changes I made myself). I like its clean yet stylish look; so many skins are just too complex to actually function (for me, at least). I love the color schemes too (nice job with the DA one)- you obviously put a lot of work in this. My only gripe is that there is no outline for other programs that are open but not active within the taskbar, and maybe the text on the start button. And the little screw in the...uh...top bar, next to minimize, looks a little to much like a button.
Nevertheless, good job on this awesome skin. Immediate +fav.
